Rise’s Language Glossary
We are excited to announce the release of Rise’s glossary of harmful language within system practices. We partnered with Casey Foundations last year to create an article that highlights the impact that language has in child welfare. In order to support families, we must be aware of language that continues to harm families, especially in court reports and child welfare documentations. Parents and advocates have developed this glossary to reduce the harm language can have on families outcomes.
