SUMMARY:Know Your Rights: Legal Defense During a Child Welfare Investigation
DESCRIPTION:This training will focus on the investigation process by the Administration of Child Services (ACS). We will be defining types of neglect & abuse and discussing the family court process. Additionally\, we will discuss legal parent advocacy\, the role these parent advocates play and share resources for impacted parents. \nThis training is open to the public but most relevant to parents impacted by the child welfare system. \nThis training will be hosted by Rise and facilitated by Bronx Defenders.

DESCRIPTION:Rise’s parent-led community support circle meets every Tuesday\, 6:00-7:00 pm ET by Zoom. The group is open to parents impacted by family policing (child welfare) systems in any location across the country. \nThe Rise peer support circle is a space to connect with other parents with similar experiences and share resources and information. Through restorative justice circles processes\, we discuss our experiences and challenges as parents\, share information and support one another.
