DESCRIPTION:In the coming months\, NYC foster agencies will hire 100-150 Parent Advocates to work in their agencies and support parents with ACS cases.  \nWhile we work toward abolition\, Rise recognizes that many parents experiencing the system right now value the support provided by Parent Advocates who have access to spaces within the system and can work to limit its harm.  \nRise will host two Zoom open houses for NYC parents impacted by ACS to learn more about these job opportunities: \n\nApril 8th\, 1:00-2:00 pm ET\nJune 17th\, 1:00-2:00 pm ET\n\n>> RSVP by emailing jeanette@risemagazine.org to receive the Zoom information.  \n*Please note that Parent Advocates will not be employees of Rise.
